At Trotters we are passionate about the lives and education of children around the world. We have taken great care in choosing which charities to support, and made sure that they share the same values as us.
We are incredibly proud to support both Place2Be and The CAIRN Trust – two wonderful charities.

Place2Be was founded in 1984 by Benita Refson OBE. They are the leading UK provider of school-based mental health support, and provide emotional and therapeutic services to 90,000 children in primary and secondary schools around the UK. Highly skilled practitioners talk to children and work through issues like bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma through creative work and play.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge is the patron of the organisation, and was recently quoted as saying that a child's mental health is just as important as their physical health.

The CAIRN Trust stands for Child Aid In Rural Nepal, and was co-founded by David and Joanna Thomas in 2007.
The Thomas's family has strong connections with Nepal that go back some 40 years to the time when David was an officer in the 2nd Gurkhas. It was through regular contact with the villages and families of these cheerful and resilient and yet incredibly poor people that made them determined to make a difference in this developing country.
Since we started working with The CAIRN Trust, we have built two Trotters schools in the remote villages of Hille Taksar and Pakhapani. The recent earthquakes in the area have been devastating. Although the schools are still standing, the villages around them have been almost completely destroyed. Whilst the schools are being used as shelters for villagers, they need our help now more than ever.
