Pancake Day with The Trotters Family February 20, 2023 Having been brought up by French parents, Shrove Tuesday, otherwise known as Mardi Gras, was always a very important date in our diary and it has remained so ever since. Every year, I have made pancakes with whichever of my children happen to be around and now I am thrilled to enjoy this special tradition with my granddaughter. I like to celebrate and highlight this day, as it is a moment to create memories that can be cherished forever. I would like to share the best Pancake Day recipe for scotch pancakes, and hope you enjoy them with those you love. Enjoy x Sophie's Pancake Recipe Makes about 6 pancakes: 100 grams of self raising flour 200 ml milk 1 egg 1 dessert spoon of Maple Syrup Unsalted butter for frying Zest of Half a Lemon Whisk all the ingredients together until there are no lumps in the mixture. If there are, you can always strain the liquid through a sieve. Heat a knob of unsalted butter in a frying pan until bubbling and then pour enough mix in the pan to obtain whatever size of pancake you fancy! Slather the pancakes with jam or hazelnut spread. Et voila! Sophie Mirman - Founder and Creative Director Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter Pin on Pinterest Email
