Returns & Exchanges

Returns - UK
Our standard returns policy is 28 days. However, please note that you have 14 days to return items purchased online during our Sale and Black Friday promotions.

Please note that during our Back to School period, our returns window on purchases of School Shoes has been extended to the 7th September.

If items are returned outside of the returns window, the goods will not be refunded and can be returned to you at the shipping address stated on your order, at your own expense.

We will refund any item(s) purchased with us provided that the item(s) are returned as new, i.e., unworn and returned with their original packaging, including the original tags. If you are returning shoes, please place them in another box/bag and do not use the shoe box to adhere labels to. In the unlikely event that an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we may have to send it back to you.

There is no need to let us know you're returning something.

Create your label and follow the instructions for your chosen return method. The goods are the customer’s responsibility until they reach us.

We will notify you via email once your refund has been processed. To check whether your item has been delivered to us, please use the tracking options provided by your chosen delivery service.

Please allow up to 14 days to receive your refund. You will be notified via email as soon as your return has been processed. This can sometimes be a few days after we receive your parcel at our warehouse – if you want to check that your order has been received, please use the tracking option provided for your chosen return method.

Please note: We are not currently able to offer freepost returns for orders shipped to the Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands.

We will refund the price you paid for your item(s), including sale items, back to your original payment method. Please note that we cannot offer refunds for charitable donations collected at checkout.

Original postage paid will only be refunded if the item is faulty or you return your order complete within the 14 day cooling off period. If you have paid for Express Delivery, you will be refunded the amount for Standard Delivery.

We will not be responsible for any items that are returned to us by mistake.

You may wish to return to one of our stores. We can offer exchanges in one of our 5 London stores (this doesn't include our concession locations) within 28 days of receiving your original order, you will need to provide either the invoice / delivery note or order confirmation.

If you require a refund, the store will need to send your item(s) back to our warehouse, along with a completed returns slip.

Store Purchases
Please note that we are unable to offer postal returns for items purchased in store. To exchnage or refund as tore purchase please visit your local branch with your receipt.

Personalised Items
Goods that are personalised and made-to-order to your specific requirements are non-refundable, unless faulty. Gift Wrap is not available for this item.
Refunds
When will I get my refund? - Please allow up to 14 days to receive your refund. You will be notified via email as soon as your return has been processed. This can sometimes be a few days after we receive your parcel at our warehouse

Postage Refunds - Original postage paid will only be refunded if the item is faulty or you return your order complete within the 14 day cooling off period. If you have paid for Express Delivery, you will be refunded the amount for Standard Delivery.

Why can I not refund my online order in store? – If you have placed your order online this can be returned back to any of our Trotters stores however please note that refunds can only be issued oncethese have been returned back to our processing Center and can take 3-5 working days to show in your account.

Online Gift Voucher refunds – eVoucher payments will be returned to the original evoucher and balances can be redeemed again using your original ecode.

Do I get a refund if I don’t collect my order?
C&C parcels not collected within 30 days will be returned to our processing team for a refund.
Local Collect parcels will be returned from the Royal Mail collection point after 18 days. Once received a refund will be issued back to the original payment method(exc postage costs)

Can I get a VAT refund if I'm an international customer? For orders shipped outside the UK, we are unable to refund any taxes, duties, or delivery costs you may have paid when placing your order.
European/International Returns
We offer a 28 day returns policy. We will refund any item(s) purchased with us provided that the item(s) are returned as new, i.e., unworn and returned with their original packaging, including the original tags. If you are returning shoes, please place them in another box/bag and do not use the shoe box to adhere labels to. In the unlikely event that an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we may have to send it back to you.

If you would like a different size or colour, please return your unwanted item(s) for a refund and place a new order. You will be charge the same amount (or less if the item(s) is on promotion) as the initial order. The return order for your exchanges will include a return postage to pay.

Non-faulty items being returned from outside the UK – excluding the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland – are returned at the customer’s expense and risk.

We will refund the price you paid for your item, including sale items, back to your original payment method.

Duties and taxes paid upon ordering are non-refundable and if additional duties/taxes are to be paid upon receipt of the return, the cost of these will be deducted from the value of your refund.

The goods are the customer’s responsibility until they reach us, so please ensure they're packed up properly and you use a postal service that insures you for the value of the items you are returning as well as obtaining a certificate of postage in case the parcel should go missing.

All goods will be inspected on return. Please ensure that tags are in place, the product has been unworn and a resalable condition. In the unlikely event that an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we may have to send it back to you.

We will not be responsible for any items that are returned to us by mistake.

Missing, Faulty & Damaged Products
If you believe that something is missing from your order or you have received a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 28 days so we can arrange a replacement for you. In most cases you will need to provide proof of purchase or your order reference number, if purchased online, along with photo evidence and/or return the item to us before we can replace it or refund you.

If you have received one of our products as a gift and it does not fit or is faulty/damaged, you can take your item(s) to your local Trotters store and exchange for another item. - Please note our exchange policy below.

Gift items being returned can only be exchanged for e-vouchers. Customers will need to confirm the gift order reference number as well as Name, Address, Email & Tel for vouchers to be issued. Please clearly mark your return as 'GIFT RETURN'.

No refunds will be given on gifts, unless refunded directly to the purchaser’s card. The purchaser will be notified by email.
Exchanges
If you placed your order online and wished to have an exchange, you can simply place a new order for the item(s) you want, and return the item(s) you do not want.
