Mental Health Awareness Week 2021 May 12, 2021 It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek 2021 and the theme this year is Nature & Mental Health. Whether you’re feeling the stress of work, lonely from isolation or worried about the health of you or a loved one, nature is a great way help support good mental health. Close proximity to nature has been proven to help the mental health of adults and children alike, reducing anxiety and promoting positive emotions and feelings. It can help to regain perspective and inject an element of calm into what can often be hectic, fast-paced daily lives. This week, try and prioritise some time to get outside, go to the park and take a moment to see, hear and feel the nature around you. For those who struggle to get out, it can also be beneficial to observe nature from your window, spend time in the garden or take the time to tend to a plant or flower. The Trotters kid's clothing team has pulled together some fun family activities that we hope will inspire you and your children to connect with nature, find calm and feel more grounded.
