Save the Children Turkey -Syria earthquake appeal

Save the Children have already started working to support those in need in the following way: 

• In Turkey, their response will focus on Gaziantep and Hatay areas, where they will expand support through partnerships with Support to Life and Turkish Red Crescent. They are providing warm blanketsand essential items for families who’ve lost everything.
• In Syria, they are working closely with partner Shafak to provide shelter kits, warm clothes and setting up safe spaces for women and children.

They have already given $1M to Turkey and $1M to Syria from their Emergency Fund. Anything you can do to support would be much appreciated.

- £5 could provide six thermal blankets to families in the cold

- £11 could provide five mattresses to families who've lost their homes

- £16 could buy a family a hygiene kit, including a towel, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes

- £23 could provide warm winter clothing for a child

- £33 could pay for emergency meals for one family for one week

- £49 could provide psychological support for 10 children for three months

- £108 could provide a cash grant for a displaced family so they can buy food, medicine and essential supplies

- £5,350 could help to provide 50 families who’ve lost everything with warm blankets, clothes, kitchen supplies and materials to build shelters
